  • Associate Producer

    Description

    Associate Producers coordinate with other departments to track the production pipeline, manage assets, identify risks, bring forward schedule red flags, and troubleshoot communication and schedule dependency problems. Each Associate Producer works directly with a different subset of the game, such as a specific console platform or the other online features.
    Responsibilities may also include quality assurance management, milestone preparation, localization, archiving, scheduling, organizing, budgeting, coordinating & managing issues and external contract development efforts and other aspects of game production.

     

    Qualifications

    •    Must have 1-3 years of experience in a production environment.
    •    Must have solid organization skills.
    •    Production experience developing on the Xbox 360 and/or PS3.
    •    1 or more shipped titles on a next-gen platform.
    •    Written and verbal English must be impeccable. This position will be interfacing with external developers and publishers.
    •    Must have an aggressive but positive and motivating personality.
    •    Must work efficiently under pressure.
    •    Must have ability to quickly learn and adapt to well-established production pipelines.

     

    Preferences

    •    Experience with licensed technology such as Unreal Engine 3.0.

  • Community Manager

    Description

    As the Community Manager, you will be the liaison between TimeGate Studios and its customers. This position will be responsible for acquiring and retaining customers through a variety of strategies and online campaigns on the official website and through other gaming sites. The Community Manager is an advocate for the customers and will be the go-to person for all product related inquires.

     
    Responsibilities:

     
    • Act as a liaison between the development team and the gaming community.
    • Be able to communicate feedback to the team and issues in a proactive manner.
    • Update the game website with new content, features, screenshots, applications, and other news on a daily basis.
    • Establish guidelines, track public inquires, acquisitions and retention rates to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy.
    • Other responsibilities may include marketing/PR integration, planning, online chat, forums and press releases.

    Qualifications:

    • Impeccable written and verbal communication.
    • Must be a good problem solver, works well under pressure and can understand the sense of urgency and prioritization.
    • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work efficiently with others.
    • Solid understanding of the gaming culture.
    • Fluent knowledge of the internet and web forums.

    • 2+ years in a production related environment, preferably in video games.
    • Strong interest in gaming, the gaming community and next-gen technology.

  • Environment Artist

    Description

    The Environment Artist works closely with the Lead Artist and Level Design team to maintain a coherent vision of the game's look and feel and ensures that the game has beautiful next-gen environments. Candidates need to be fluent in many areas of game production such as concepting, modeling, mapping, and texturing as well as a working knowledge of the industry's popular level design tools.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience creating 3D game environments.
    • Must have a high proficiency with 3DS Max and Photoshop.
    • Must work efficiently under pressure.
    • Must have a passion for creation of visually stunning and efficient 3D environments whether natural or architectural.

    Description

    Description

    The Mechanical Artist is expected to be competent in multiple disciplines such as modeling, texturing, and/or conceptuals. The Mechanical Artist will work closely with the Lead Artist to make sure the game has top-notch next-gen visuals and to keep pushing the boundary on high-end game graphics.

     
    Qualifications
     
    • 3-5 years of experience in computer generated art. Heavy 3DSMax/Photoshop experience.
    • 2+ years of Mechanical art experience.
    • Z-Brush and/or Mudbox expertise is required.
    • Knowledge with art development on next-gen consoles.
    • Solid understanding of art pipelines and how to get the most out of them.
    • Motivated and driven to face challenges.
    • Ability to create art assets which demonstrate advanced techniques.

  • Quality Assurance Tester

    Description

    The Quality Assurance Tester is primarily responsible for testing and evaluating the game during the course of its development. Quality Assurance Testers report to the Lead Quality Assurance Tester and provide reports on game quality to the rest of the development team as needed. This is an entry level hourly position.

    Responsibilites

    • Testing game content for bugs and other flaws.
    • Testing game levels for fun and enjoyment factor.
    • Tracking and monitoring bugs/issues via a database.
    • Providing written/oral reports on the state of game bugs, features, and playability.

    Qualifications

    • Must be an avid gamer with the desire to help create top-notch games.
    • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be a thorough and efficient problem solver with the ability to communicate well with others.
    • Must be capable of identifying and fixing typical PC hardware/software problems.
    • Must be capable of mastering common bug/defect tracking tools (Bugzilla, Test Track, etc.).

    Description

    The Software Engineer works closely with the Lead Software Engineer and the rest of the development team to design and program multiple requirements for upcoming titles.
     

    Responsibilities

    • Architect, program, and debug high quality code using good software practices.
    • Design, develop and extend next generation game play engine: game play, graphics, interface, AI, networking, audio, etc.
    • Provide status reports to the Lead Software Engineer during all phases of the production cycle.

    Qualifications

    • At least three years of experience in C++ programming.
    • Experience with assembly level programming.

    • Must have excellent object-oriented design and analysis skills.
    • Must have excellent communication and documentation skills.
